Un fichier .url est un raccourci Internet Windows, un minuscule fichier texte qui stocke une adresse Web et l'ouvre dans votre navigateur par défaut lors d'un double-clic. Il ne contient aucun contenu de page, seulement le lien. Pour voir l'adresse sans l'ouvrir, faites un clic droit sur le fichier et choisissez Propriétés, ou ouvrez-le dans Notepad et lisez la ligne URL=.

Is it safe to open a .URL file here?
Yes. This page only reads the file and shows its contents. Nothing is merged into your registry. On Windows, double-clicking a .reg file applies it, so check it here first.
What does the safety review look for?
Changes to places malware likes: programs that start automatically (Run keys, services, Winlogon), turned-off Microsoft Defender or UAC, blocked Task Manager, debugger hijacks, proxy changes and new trusted root certificates. A warning isn't proof of malware; it's a reason to know where the file came from.
Why does my plist look like gibberish in Notepad?
It's a binary plist. It starts with bplist00 and stores values as compact bytes. This viewer decodes it into a readable tree and can save it as XML or JSON.
Can I open NTUSER.DAT or other registry hives?
We show the hive's header (name, last write time, version) today. Browsing the keys inside a hive is coming soon. For now, export the branch you need from Registry Editor as a .reg file.
Can I edit the file and save it?
Not yet. You can export the changes as a PowerShell script or the plist as XML and JSON, then edit those in any text editor.
